Bushido

Being in Shinibana

When you are in our guild, everything you say or do can be used against the guild, or give the guild a good or bad reputation. Always consider that in everything you do.

Many of the guild members have RL commitments so this isn't the place for massive raiding or powerleveling.

All members should wear the guild tabard at all times. Be proud of your guild and its emblem.

We would prefer if the names of our members aren't offensive, silly, leet, or just plain lame.

Act as a Shinibana

If somebody inside or outside Shinibana does not know something, do not call them Noob or mock them. Teach them how to improve instead.

Help is to be asked for when needed, given to those who need, but never to be demanded if denied.

Guild members are not required to give away items, money and advice but it is a quality that is held in high esteem.

We don't have set attendance or raid requirements, you log on when you can and join in when you want. But if you sign up using the calendar, you are expected to come. So don't sign unless you are sure you can come.

Fight like a Shinibana

We do not kill low level horde players, unless they attack first. We see no honor in fighting the weak. We do not corpse-camp horde unless their corpse is in an alliance settlement.

To break rules that have been agreed upon is always wrong, no matter what anyone else does, Shinibana should not break their word. When in pickup groups make sure you know the rules for loot are and abide by them.

If you are being insulted or taunted in any way, by a guild member or by other players in the game or on some forum, then be the adult one and leave. Should it continue, contact an officer for assistance.

Talk like a Shinibana

Never use bad language against another guild member or an allied alliance player. Show some respect and hold your anger until you have cooled off enough to use a polite language.

Religious and Political opinions are a part of who you are and how you think, but to discuss them in-game does not always enhance everyone's game experience.

There are days when you don't feel like chatting, of course there is. This guild isn't an item-generator for your character though, so unless you are in Shinibana to be social every once in a while, why are you here?

Think like a Shinibana

Shinibana is an International Guild and all people shall know what other members are talking about in the Guild Channel. In the Guild Channel the language is English at all times, if you have to talk in your own language then do it in a party or whisper to each other.

The best way to rise in rank within the guild is to follow the ones who already are officers. Anyone asking or begging for a promotion will not get one.

Times stated anywhere on the webpage and times for events are all in server time.

Stay up to date on guild happenings by reading the message forums. Do participate in guild discussions and voice your opinions. Remember to check “Message Of the Day” every day when you log in to the Server. It contains information meant for you.
